Second scene:
errmmm... in Melbourne, "Thank you" is the most popular phrase. For some people, they always say "thank you" to the bus driver after they ride the bus. That is why, i think it's a good behaviour that we (Indonesian people) should adapted in our country. Let's take an example, have you heard someone says "terimakasih" to 'angkot- angkutan kota' alias KWK, Mikrolet, and Bus Metromini (public transports) drivers? I haven't.
For me, "thank you" words mean appreciation. Even it is a common little thing, it's worth. In my opinion, i feel better if someone says "thank you" for what i have done to them. I feel they really appreciate me...it feels great! So, that example shows me how common thing change people's feeling. It could change their mood as well. How cool is that?!
Third scene:
It was 2nd first week in MIBT. The class was over. I was ready to leave my computer lab at campus. Some of my classmates already outside class, since they are international students who mostly come from Asia, they only said "bye" to the lecturer or just leave without saying anything. And some how, i was trying to say "Good Bye. Have a good day. See u next week" to the lecturer, just like other Australians (They often say "g'day mate" or "have a good/lovely day"). It seems a long phrase, but i said it to my lecturer.
And the other weeks, she always remembers me (Even she always try hard to pronounce my name, but she remembers my face). When she called the roll, i was not at class (i was doing my toilet business at that time). But, she marked me present. She knows that the one who went to the toilet is me....It means she already knew me. This example shows me that another simple greeting has changed something. People could remember something different from you, even the simple one...
actually, i have other experiences. But, i'll tell u another time.....hope this post change your thought,,,and shows how small things can affect our life....
Itu sih minta dielus, tapi malah digampar
